Gail doesn’t remember the beginnings of her life. She and her 3 siblings were rescued from the backyard of an elderly school teacher who refused to tolerate cats on the premises. All 4 babies, including the mother, were removed and fostered at the home of a SpayMart volunteer. Of the four, Gail was the lucky one. Her mother died from pneumonia, while two of the siblings died from anesthesia at the time of sterilization. The remaining sibling got adopted. Gail remains at the SpayMart shelter, still waiting and hoping for a home. She is a beautiful silver tabby who loves rubs and responds by talking back. She still plays like a kitten, defying her age. There’s lots of life left in this little girl and she drams to spend it somewhere besides a shelter. You can adopt Gail by calling the SpayMart shelter at 601-749-0268 or visit the SpayMart website at www.spaymart.org and fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire.
