Gina
Gina lived with many cats, but her owner loved them all very much and was financially able to provide all the extras. Her house was a beautiful 2 story home and the cats were allowed full range. The menu was excellent and cat toys of all sizes and colors were strewn about each room. Life was very sweet, until that horrible day. Their owner lay motionless on the floor for days. Food and water bowls were empty. The phone range but no one picked it up. They couldn’t understand why she wouldn’t wake up to feed them, to pet them, to talk to them in a reassuring voice. Then, finally there was a persistent knock on the door, someone who wasn’t going away—someone who would rescue them. There wer3e several voices outside, and suddenly, the door opened at last, and a woman with several men entered the house. A flurry of commotion began, with many phone calls. And life as they had known was finished forever. Cats were leaving in every direction. Some even fled out the door in their panic, never to be recovered. Some went with friends, some with rescue groups. It was a period of pandemonium for the cats. Gina and 10 others went with SpayMart. She has been at the sanctuary 6 years now and has never recovered from her loss. The staff is convinced only a special guardian will be able to heal her injured spirit. She is very gentle and loving, but needs some one on one attention.
