$10 Spay/Neuter in Orleans Parish – June 2014
SpayMart is sponsoring a spay/neuter program being conducted through the Southern Animal Foundation (SAF) clinic located at 1823 Magazine Street. For a $10 co-pay, feral cats will be sterilized and vaccinated for rabies. Don’t allow feral cats to reproduce in your neighborhood. Schedule your appointment today by calling SAF at 504-671-8235.
The Orleans parish community cats program is needed to curb the over population of feral and/or free-roaming cats. Feral cats comprise almost 30% of the number of animals euthanized at area shelters. Aggressive spay/neuter programs must be in place to deal with their alarming numbers. New Orleans has one of the largest feral populations in the United States – estimated between 350,000 to 400,000.
Thanking you in advance for being part of the solution.
