My mom had no choice but to search for a safe, secluded spot to have her babies. She chose an abandoned house and did the best she could. We grew fast and learned the ways of the streets. I suppose we would have followed in our mother’s steps, had the great fire not happened. With no shelter and no place to hide, we were quickly noticed and labeled a nuisance. Traps were set and we were quickly removed from everything familiar to us. A volunteer saved us from the pound and suggested a sanctuary called SpayMart. The adjustment hasn’t been easy but I’m beginning to feel happy and safe. I know people will make my life complete. I’m willing to give them a chance if they’ll give me one.
