Volunteers Needed to transport cats between Picayune and New Orleans

Will pay for gasoline
Occasional, on call or on a regular basis.

SpayMart is caring for over 300 homeless, abandoned felines at our Picayune shelter. Many were left behind after Katrina and others rescued from cruelty cases. Such large numbers of animals require frequent vet trips.

We desperately need volunteers to help with transport from the sanctuary in Picayune to vet clinics in New Orleans and back again.

  • A relay system is also possible with Slidell as a half-way point.
  • We are seeking several people to be on call as needed.
  • Your vehicle must be dependable, with heat and air conditioning.
  • Most trips will be early a.m. or late afternoon.

SpayMart will pay for gasoline.

Forward this to anyone you know who might be able to assist.
