As this special time of year approaches, we at SpayMart would like to wish you the merriest of holidays and all good things in the coming year!

It has always been the mission of SpayMart to safeguard the well-being of all animals by ensuring no animal enters local shelters at the risk of losing their life.

We strive to ensure our community programming is working to accomplish our mission. The goal is to reduce the number of animals entering our local shelters by providing aggressive, proactive spay/neuter initiatives and to increase the number of animals leaving shelters through robust adoption programs.

Thanks to your support, we can be proud of ourselves for spaying and neutering 1,496 cats and dogs so far in 2024, with another 180-200 scheduled. We also adopted out 728 animals. These numbers are especially impressive when you consider there were three million fewer spay/neuter surgeries performed during the pandemic and catch-up has been extremely challenging. At the same time, costs for vet bills, pet food, and operations in general have doubled and even tripled, with inflation drastically impacting families and shelters alike.

As a nonprofit, SpayMart offers programs that are giving hope to every animal in need. Whether a senior cat dropped off at a shelter because their owner died, a kitten abandoned by the side of the road, or a feral cat with no one willing to take responsibility, we are there! Our purpose is to provide hope to those who have none, shelter for those who are homeless, food for the hungry, and medical care for those suffering.

This year, with your support, SpayMart:

  • Spayed and neutered 1,496 cats and dogs
  • Provided 3,136 vaccines
  • Donated 8,388 pounds of pet food to families in need
  • Paid for $183,685 in veterinary expenses
  • Found loving homes for 728 pets

As we approach our fiscal year end, I want to take a moment to say thank you for being my inspiration. My hope is that each of us becomes a spark that ignites compassion and generosity in all of us. Collectively, let’s keep the future bright for ourselves and the animals we serve. Please answer their plea for help this holiday season with your most generous donation.

With gratitude,

Lynn Chiche, Co-founder and President, SpayMart
